ESG Maturity Assessment
Ten questions across five dimensions. Answer honestly to see your ESG maturity level and where to focus next.
The ESG maturity model: four levels
ESG maturity measures how far an organisation has moved from ad-hoc activity to a governed, evidence-backed system. This assessment scores you across governance, materiality, data, reporting, and assurance, then places you on a four-level maturity model.
- Nascent. ESG is largely unmanaged. The priority is ownership, a materiality baseline, and getting core data under control.
- Developing. Foundations exist but are manual and fragmented. Focus on a governed data layer, framework mapping, and closing disclosure gaps.
- Established. ESG is systematised and reported. The next step is assurance-readiness, controls, and linking ESG to financial decisions.
- Leading. ESG is governed, evidenced, and decision-grade. Sustain it with reasonable assurance and continuous framework reconciliation.
