Certified ESG Controller
1 seat for yourself, or buy for a team: 2–5 seats 10% off, 6–10 20%, 11–20 30%. You assign each seat by email afterwards.
For: ESG leads, finance professionals, sustainability managers, consultants
You train inside the same governance software you will operate in a real role, anchored to the standards that regulators, investors and assurers use. You finish able to design and operate the controls and evidence that stand up to scrutiny, and you hold a credential that proves it.
What you will be able to do after completing CEC-001
The controller-level credential for the people accountable for whether an ESG disclosure survives an audit. You learn to design and operate the methodologies, controls and evidence that make sustainability data auditable, aligned to ISSB, GRI and ESRS. You build these controls inside a live governance platform, so the credential attests that you can run an assurance-ready ESG function, not that you sat through a course on one.
- Design an ESG data architecture that connects source data to disclosure
- Document ESG methodologies so calculations are reproducible and defensible
- Build internal control frameworks for ESG governance
- Prepare ESG evidence packs that support limited and reasonable assurance
- Map ESG disclosures to ISSB, CSRD, GRI, TCFD, and TNFD
- Link ESG performance to financial outcomes and report to boards in financial terms
Eight modules. From ESG data to assurance readiness.
ESG Governance and the Operating Model
What ESG governance means in practice. The four layers: data, methodology, controls, and outputs. Why most ESG programmes fail at the system level, not the reporting level.
ESG Data Architecture
How to structure ESG data across entities, facilities, operations, and value chains. Data ownership, quality, lineage, and integration with finance systems.
ESG Metrics and Methodology
How ESG metrics are defined, calculated, estimated, and documented. Scope 1, 2, and 3 methodology. Boundary decisions, estimation hierarchies, and transition rules. GHG Protocol and ISSB S2 methodology requirements.
ESG Internal Controls and Governance
Approval workflows, accountability structures, evidence management, and audit trail design. What makes ESG data auditable rather than just reportable.
Regulatory Framework Alignment
ISSB S1 and S2, CSRD and ESRS, GRI Standards, TCFD, TNFD, and BRSR. Multi-framework mapping and gap analysis. How to report to multiple frameworks from one data environment.
ESG and Financial Integration
Connecting ESG metrics to financial structures. ESG-adjusted valuation, cost of capital, EBITDA at risk, and investor-grade ESG reporting. How finance teams validate ESG assumptions.
ESG Assurance Readiness
Preparing for limited and reasonable assurance. Evidence requirements, control testing, audit trail design, and pre-assurance review. What external assurers actually test.
ESG Disclosure and Reporting
Multi-framework disclosure drafting. Lender packs, investor summaries, board reports, and regulatory submissions. Using CorpStage ESG 360 to manage the disclosure process.
Built for professionals who need governance credentials that hold up
Sustainability and ESG Leads
The programme covers what you need to move from running an ESG programme to governing one. Methodology, controls, evidence, and assurance readiness are all addressed.
CFOs and Finance Professionals
ESG is entering financial reporting, green finance, and investor communication. Finance professionals who understand ESG methodology and controls are better positioned across all three.
Consultants and Advisors
The CEC-001 credential supports both technical depth and client credibility in ESG operating model, assurance readiness, and regulatory compliance advisory.
Internal Audit and Risk Professionals
Understanding ESG governance methodology, controls, and evidence requirements is increasingly necessary for auditors who are adding ESG to their audit universe.
